Shea Andrews, PhD, joins UCSF!

We are excited to welcome Shea Andrews, PhD, to our faculty! Dr. Andrews investigates the genetic epidemiology of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). He completed his PhD in medical sciences at The Australian National University and his postdoctoral fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he also most recently served as an instructor. Dr. Andrews shares, “My ultimate aim is to become a leading investigator in the genetics of AD and the development of predictive models to identify individuals who have an elevated or reduced risk of developing dementia.” In his spare time, Dr. Andrews enjoys hiking and reading science fiction & fantasy novels. We are looking forward to seeing his continued contributions to the field!
